Plot:
Several years have passed since Moana’s incredible voyage to restore the heart of Te Fiti, and she is now a beloved leader of the island of Motunui. Under her leadership, the island has thrived — the people are thriving, the traditions are strong, and Moana has embraced her role as the Wayfinder and protector of the sea. However, peace is once again threatened when a mysterious force from the depths of the ocean arises, bringing with it an ancient, untold prophecy that could change everything.

A powerful and ancient sea creature, Taniwha, has awoken from the deep. Legends say it was once a guardian of the ocean’s balance, but it has turned into something darker and more unpredictable. Moana is called upon to embark on a journey that leads her far beyond the islands to a hidden, forgotten realm deep within the ocean — a place where the water itself holds dangerous secrets.

Joined by Maui (Dwayne Johnson), who is still learning to balance his mischievous ways with his newfound responsibilities as a demigod, Moana faces a challenge like no other: navigating the Undersea Kingdom, meeting ancient ocean guardians, and uncovering the truth behind the disturbance threatening the world’s waters. But with the balance of nature at risk, she must also confront her own past and the weight of her destiny as the guardian of the sea.

As they journey to ancient and treacherous places, Moana learns that to save the ocean and her people, she must first understand the deeper mysteries of the sea and the sacrifices that true leadership demands. Along the way, Moana faces her greatest internal battle: Can she still follow her heart and instincts while carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders?
A new ally, Kai (voiced by Oscar Isaac), a mysterious sea explorer with knowledge of ancient lore, helps guide Moana. But with him comes a warning: to unlock the ocean’s true power, Moana must be ready to give up something she holds dear — the connection with her past.
