Geostorm takes place in a near future where a network of satellites controls the world’s weather to prevent natural disasters. When the system malfunctions and begins creating catastrophic “geostorms” — deadly weather events across the globe — the system’s original architect, Jake Lawson (Gerard Butler), is called back to space to uncover a conspiracy before the entire planet is destroyed.
As storms devastate cities and political tension rises on Earth, Jake and his brother Max (Jim Sturgess) must stop the sabotage before humanity faces extinction.
